AUSTRALIAN BIOTECH COMPANY PPB TECHNOLOGY NAMED GLOBAL FINALIST IN 2026 IDF DAIRY INNOVATION AWARDS

Earlier this month PPB Technology was announced as a finalist in the International Dairy Federation 2026 Dairy Innovation Awards.
One of fewer than 30 finalists across all 10 categories and selected from a total of 182 entrants from 23 countries, PPB Technology has been nominated as one of three global finalists for the 2026 IDF Dairy Innovation Award in Food Safety Equipment for our Milk Protease Testing.
CYBERTONGUE® Milk Protease Testing: a novel solution to an expensive industry problem.
Detect the problem before it becomes a loss.
CYBERTONGUE® addresses an important dairy processing quality-control problem using rapid, on-site biosensor testing.

CYBERTONGUE® gives dairy processors rapid, laboratory-quality information about protease activity while they can still make decisions that protect product quality, shelf life and profitability.
Allowing dairy processors to clean up the milk supply chain and make critical product and business decisions while they can still act.
International Dairy Federation and Innovation
Applications were assessed on criteria including originality, scalability, partnership, global relevance and supporting evidence.
We are humbled that our technology has been placed alongside two innovations from Yili, one of the world’s major dairy processors, in an international competition judges by industry experts and that our small Australian biotechnology company stands in the company of some of the biggest names in dairy and dairy innovation.

There is also a new category in 2026; the Judges’ Choice Award, recognising an outstanding innovation across all categories.
The winners will be announced at the Tues 17 November Award Ceremony, held during this year’s World Dairy Summit in New Zealand in November. The IDF World Dairy Summit runs 15-20 November at the New Zealand International Convention Centre, Auckland, where PPB will also pursue meetings with international processors and potential strategic partners.
Our COO Dr Rym Kachouri will be in attendance for the duration of the conference and is looking forward to connecting with global contacts and building new relationships.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch (Canberra!), our Head of Production and Quality, Dr Raquel Rocha, and Supply Chain Manager, Jess Kelly, will be representing PPB Technology at the National Export Awards after our recent ACT export award win. It’s an exciting week for the team, with multiple acknowledgements of our Australian technology gaining international recognition.
