PPB Technology is an Australian startup founded by Dr Stephen Trowell, who led the development of CYBERTONGUE® whilst at CSIRO.

Stephen Trowell, PhD

Founder, Managing Director

Stephen Trowell is PPB Technology's founder and managing director. For three decades Stephen was a research scientist at the CSIRO, where he invented the CYBERTONGUE® technology platform. Stephen now leads technical and commercial development of CYBERTONGUE® for food diagnostics.

Felix Weihs, PhD

Chief Scientific Officer

Felix is a former CSIRO researcher. He trained as a microbiologist and is experienced in developing analytical assays. Felix was awarded a Future Science Platform Postdoctoral Fellowship with CSIRO, where he worked on biomedical applications of CYBERTONGUE®, focusing on protease tests. Felix leads PPB Technology’s science and operations.

Jessica Kelly

Office and Logistics Manager

Jess joins the PPB Technology team during an exciting period of expansion and accelerated growth. Jess brings a wealth of experience in general administration and supply chain logistics. As the company and our sales are growing, we require focus and attention to financial and logistics management and Jess is the ideal person to support us in these areas.

Raquel Rocha, PhD

Research Scientist

Raquel is a former Post-Doctoral Researcher at CSIRO. With a professional background in biology and chemistry research, Raquel brings a wealth of knowledge as we look to expanding our CYBERTONGUE® tests range and applications.
