PPB Technology is an Australian startup founded by Dr Stephen Trowell, who led the development of CYBERTONGUE® whilst at CSIRO.

Stephen Trowell, PhD

Founder, Managing Director

Stephen Trowell is PPB Technology's founder and managing director. For three decades Stephen was a research scientist at the CSIRO, where he invented the CYBERTONGUE® technology platform. Stephen now leads technical and commercial development of CYBERTONGUE® for food diagnostics.


Jennifer Loughman, MBBS (Hons) FRACGP

Co-Founder

Dr Loughman is a practising clinician with wide experience as a business owner and investment manager. Dr Loughman manages PPB Technology's investor relations, advises on business strategy and assesses future human health opportunities for the CYBERTONGUE® Technology.


Felix Weihs, PhD

Science and Operations Lead

Felix is a former CSIRO researcher. He trained as a microbiologist and is experienced in developing analytical assays. Felix was awarded a Future Science Platform Postdoctoral Fellowship with CSIRO, where he worked on biomedical applications of CYBERTONGUE®, focussing on protease tests. Felix leads PPB Technology’s science and operations.
