EXPORT AWARDS: On the 20th of August, 2024, PPB Technology team members Dr Stephen Trowell, Dr Felix Weihs and Jess Kelly attended the 2024 ACT Chief Minister’s Export Awards where we were presented with the ACT Promising Exporter award.
It was a great evening and it was inspiring to see how many amazing businesses are growing in, and exporting from, our Nation’s Capital.
This was the first time we have entered the Export Awards competition, and as relative newcomers to the exporting game, it was great recognition for what we have achieved so far.
We are encouraged to continue providing first-class support to, and developing, our existing and future international client-base.
We look forward to meeting with potential future export partners at FoodTech in Denmark in four weeks.

PAST EVENTS: In the last week of August, CYBERTONGUE® was graciously hosted by FMCG Industry Solutions at the NSW DIAA Dairy Conference where we soft-launched our ALP test (see more below).
NEW PRODUCT: We are very excited to share that we have just recently officially announced our second CYBERTONGUE® compatible test.
Local and international dairy processing plants are already lining up to be one of the first select locations to use our new alkaline phosphatase (ALP) test.
Alkaline Phosphate testing has been used by dairy processors for decades to check for proper pasteurisation whilst simultaneously detecting cross-contamination with unpasteurised milk.
A natural component of raw milk, alkaline phosphatase is destroyed during the pasteurisation process. By measuring the residual levels of ALP after this heat treatment, dairies can be confident that products have been heated to the correct temperatures, for the proper amount of time required to be fully pasteurised. Simultaneously confirming that the product has also not been contaminated with raw milk.

With no daily calibrations required (our CYBERTONGUE® machine does it all for you), and minimal prep (simply add milk sample to the red-capped assay tube and insert the tube into the device), our test combines the best available combination of ease of use and sensitivity, providing quantified ALP activity levels in pasteurised milk and cream.
Best of all, both available tests (ALP and AprX), and our full future testing range, can all be performed interchangeably on the same machine with no need for calibrations when swapping between tests. All users need to do is select the reagent batch number from a dropdown menu on the device, and CYBERTONGUE® does the rest for you.
Our currently available test for the bacterial protease AprX, measures ultra-low levels of Pseudomonas protease. Using this test can substantially reduce your risk of experiencing a product failure or recall as well as potentially saving you money on your existing mitigation measures.
