The Cybertongue® Company

June Update

Team Expansion:
This week we welcomed our newest PPB Technology team member, Research Scientist, Dr. Raquel Rocha.

Raquel joins us from CSIRO where she was a Postdoctoral Researcher, her background in Synthetic Biology and Chemistry research provides PPB Technology with a wealth of knowledge as we look to expanding our product offerings. Raquel tells us “The interface between bioanalytical chemistry and food chemistry was always very interesting to me and I was really excited to see a potential work opportunity at PPB Technology.”

We’re also very excited to have Raquel on the team bringing her vast experience to support Chief Scientist Dr. Felix Weihs in expanding our Cybertongue® testing capabilities.

Raquel’s personal motto is “It’s all about the journey! That the path we take to get to a research finding or a personal goal is what actually shapes our careers, lives, history.”

And what a journey the first half of this year has been for PPB Technology. We’ve seen dramatic growth in our team, in our product development and our client base. See below for a hint of what’s to come in the second half of the year.

May Overview:
PPB Technology had a jam-packed month in May, attending not one, but two conferences nationally and internationally.

Our CEO and Founder, Dr Stephen Trowell, presented at the DIAA (Dairy Industry Association of Australia) FUTURE Dairy conference in Melbourne, discussing the importance of “Closing the Feedback Loop with “Laboratory Quality Results in Minutes™”” and how Cybertongue Technology can provide ultra-reliable results almost instantly, making supply chain and process management easier.

PPB Technology is also extremely proud to have presented the award for Highest Scoring UHT Milk to Lactalis Australia, Rowville for Paul’s Zymil Full Fat UHT Milk.

Then less than two weeks later, Stephen and our jet-setting Cybertongue® were boarding another plane to Ankara, Türkiye, to learn more about the future and export potential of the Turkish dairy industry while also providing a presentation on “Shelf-life failures of UHT milk and how to prevent them”.

Next Month:

International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) Annual Meeting
14th – 17th July, 2024
Long Beach, California, USA

“Each year, the IAFP hosts an Annual Meeting, providing attendees with information on current and emerging food safety issues, the latest science, innovative solutions to new and recurring problems, and the opportunity to network with thousands of food safety professionals from around the globe.”

Cybertongue® will be on display at our booth (446), providing demos throughout the event.
