Often in a start-up it can feel like there are way too many things to be done for the amount of people you have available and there’s just not enough time to say ‘yes’ to every opportunity that presents itself.

However, every small ‘yes’ can lead to something even more amazing than you could ever expect.

Quite some time ago now someone suggested us to Landline host Kath Sullivan as a potential story of interest and the PPB Tech team said yes to the small segment. After filming in our local Canberra labs, and waiting some time hearing nothing, we thought the story was dead. Next thing we know, the small interest piece was upgraded and turned into a full segment in cooperation with our long time supporters at Riverina Fresh in Wagga Wagga.
From this Landline segment, we were then picked up by ABC News on television, with the story then shared on ABC News online. Not long after we were interviewed on both ABC radio and local Canberra station 2CC.

What may have initially seemed like a small, and yet all the same incredibly exciting, opportunity, led to something much bigger than we ever could have imagined. In just a few short months, CYBERTONGUE® had a whole new audience and supporters.

At PPB Technology, we are passionate about saying ‘yes’! Through this one simple ‘yes’ to a seemingly small opportunity, we opened a whole new world of ‘yes’ opportunities and we have been connected with investors, partners and customers across the globe.

And this is not the only ‘yes’ that has brought us more than we could have imagined. We are always excited to say ‘yes’ to conferences, presentations, discussions, CbrIN (Canberra Innovation Network) events, development and research prospects and partnerships, AusTrade and government trade opportunities and other possibilities. By saying ‘yes’ to supporting customers to find unexpected solutions, it has helped us find new use cases for our existing tests and improve our product offerings and user interfaces.
We never know where a ‘yes’ is going to take us.

TELEVISION, INTERNET & RADIO:

PPB Technology has been going strong on the media circuit these past few months.
What started as a feature on Landline in March has since been followed by a television report on the ABC News, an article on ABC News online and two interviews on local radio.

Dr Raquel Rocha, our Head of Production & Quality, and Dr Stephen Trowell, our Founder and CEO, were interviewed about CYBERTONGUE® Technology and its benefits for reducing waste in the global dairy industry. The story that was shared in early June was put together by ABC News journalist Peter Lusted using the interviews shot by Kath Sullivan. Our Chief Scientific Officer, Dr Felix Weihs, was a guest on ABC Radio’s 666 Afternoons with Alice Matthews and Stephen Trowell could be heard talking all things CYBERTONGUE® on local network 2CC’s Talking Canberra with Stephen Cenatiempo.

A huge thank you to the whole team at the Canberra Innovation Network who organised and hosted yet another flawless event. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, the quality of discussions with each investor was high and it was incredibly rewarding to see how much interest there is in what our PPB Tech team is building together. In the words of CbrIN CEO Petr Adámek; “Canberra is buzzing with innovation” and we are so proud to be a part of it.

A special call out to CbrIN’s Irene and Craig who have shown us invaluable support throughout the years and have helped us grow from an “idea” to a start-up to an international business.

It was a jam-packed afternoon and Stephen and our COO, Dr Rym Kachouri, barely had a moment to breathe! They thoroughly enjoyed updating existing investors on our company developments and inspiring new investors with the future of food diagnostics: our CYBERTONGUE®.

THE DAIRY INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA (DIAA) 2026 VICTORIAN CONFERENCE:

The Victorian Dairy Industry Association of Australia Conference and Awards is one of the biggest events on the PPB Technology calendar. Each year we look forward to informative industry updates, inspiring guest speakers, and to networking and connecting with the professionals who make our dairy industry one of the best in the world.

This year, the conference theme was “Future-Ready Dairy”; something that we at PPB Technology are very passionate about and aspire to be a big part of. One week out from the incredibly successful Investor Showcase (see above), Stephen and Rym were back on the road again representing PPB Technology on-site at the Trade Display to demonstrate how our CYBERTONGUE® technology supports Australia’s world class dairy industry now, and into the future. This time to a completely different audience – our end-users and operators.

We are so proud to have sponsored the award for Highest Scoring UHT Milk at the Victorian Dairy Product Competition Awards for the third year running, and congratulations to Lactalis Australia for taking home this honour once again.

Thanks to the DIAA and event organisers and a special shout out to Douglas Eddy, Adam Tyson and David Petrikas for another year of “udderly” inspiring dairy excellence!

PPB Technology will have representatives at a variety of events through the remainder of the year. We can confirm that PPB Technology will be hosted by FMCG IS at FoodPro later this month – however time with our representative is limited, please contact us to book a time if you would like to talk to us there.

Back in Canberra, you can generally find one of our team members at CbrIN events like First Wednesday Connect and as always, we also plan to attend the Innovation Showcase later this year. We also have some collaborations with ANU lined up.

CAPITAL RAISE – INVEST IN THE FUTURE OF AUSTRALIAN DEEP TECH MANUFACTURING:

Since our feature on ABC we’ve had a lot of interest from people keen to support Australian deep tech and seeking investing opportunities.

Our latest capital raise round is open and with revenue doubling year on year and a strong and a growing intellectual property portfolio, PPB Tech is in an exciting position. We are raising to fund production growth and operational excellence as our sales and manufacture accelerates and our global device network expands. Please note though, that we are open to institutional and professional investors only. Under Australian law, we are unable to accept retail investment at this time. (In the case of a future IPO, that would change).

We greatly appreciate everyone who reached out to us, inquiring about investing in PPB Technology.
