THE 51st ANNUAL DAIRY INDUSTRY CONFERENCE, INDIA, 2025: Earlier this month, we were honoured to be hosted by IndiFOSS at the 51st Dairy Industry Conference (DIC) in Patna, India. This was the first time our CYBERTONGUE® device had been to India, though we have been well aware of the need for our technology in this region for some time.
India is the world’s largest producer of milk, last year doubling the production of the USA, who sit in second place. Milk is therefore hugely important to the country; both as a vital source of nutrition, but also for the 80 million families who depend on dairy production as part of their livelihoods.
Production of UHT/long-life milk is growing rapidly, and India is looking to increase its dairy exports. Quality and shelf-stability are therefore critical enablers for the expansion of the Indian dairy industry. Which is where we think CYBERTONGUE® Technology can help.
Our Founder and CEO, Dr Stephen Trowell gave a presentation at the conference, sharing his insights on dairy quality and safety. Feedback from our hosts stated that “With his expertise in food diagnostics and the revolutionary CYBERTONGUE® technology, Dr. Trowell brought a fresh perspective on dairy quality and safety. His session sparked engaging discussions and new ideas for the future of the industry.”
On the Thursday and Friday, Stephen also provided demonstrations of a CYBERTONGUE® Instrument on the IndiFOSS stand. Thank you to IndiFOSS for providing us with this excellent opportunity to attend the 51st DIC and additionally for the invitation to provide a platform presentation. We hope to return to the region again soon.
THE INDUSTRY LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES CONTINUE IN APRIL: The second week of next month will prove to be one of our busiest yet. For the first time in PPB Technology history, we will have two devices attending international trade shows simultaneously; with two of our team members, Dr Stephen Trowell and Jess Kelly, in attendance at the Dairy Olympics in Al Ain; our COO, Dr Rym Kachouri, at FHA in Singapore, hosted by CSIRO as part of the Venture Exchange Program (VEP); and our Research Scientist, Dr. Raquel Rocha, closer to home, presenting to ANU’s Innovation to Impact workshop participants on PPB Tech and the start up experience.
